New pitching coach?

Nothing sidetracked, still waiting for you to lead the cause for fundraising.

Talking about electrical and plumbing and demolition isn’t side tracking on a pitching coach thread? UL has paid folks to generate money it’s not up to the fans.

The fans seem to be how basketball and baseball was able to make their hires, according to what was said on here. The fans forked over money.

Tell yall what, if they post on the Donate page for Softball a line item for coaches, I’ll chip in, and I’m not really what I’d call one of the real softball fans.

Dude, you still beating a dead horse? School is starting, so hopefully news will come.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, if private money doesn’t pay for a pitching coach, someone that’s already on staff will be coaching the pitchers this season.

The Big picture. I was told there won’t be much in cuts to Football and MBB. The others sports are allowed to go out and raise whatever they want, with no restrictions but extra money will not be available. Private money picked up the tab for the two new BB Coaches, without those donations we are talking about it today.

Softball investors and fans need to step up. I know a few including one that sold his business a year ago. He complains, but he’s not dropping a dime for his favorite program outside of his season tickets in the grandstand.

This is the same thing I have been told.

In addition, part of the athletic budget has been redirected towards NIL for football and basketball–$200k of the $850k for basketball NIL game from the athletic budget. We have basically gone all in on football and basketball while we are squeezing all other programs.

The unfiltered truth. Cut programs, it will always start with Spring and Olympic Sports.

Really depressing to hear the rumblings about softball. They are unequivocally the most successful program we’ve had. To see them have so much success over the last 30 + years to then (potentially) be an afterthought post June 2024 stinks.

Hope some positive news comes soon.

I am just asking for folks to stay on topic.

Not true. I will call you later on this.

I think it’s somewhere around 80% football, 10% basketball and the rest is divided up between the remaining sports. Maybe I misheard when maggard said this. It was on one of the podcasts he did with either Jay or RR

It is true. I literally heard it from the people doing the hiring. There will not be another dollar spent on coaching hires unless private money via RCAF or individual sport specific club donations pay for them.

As soon as the audit is over a new pitching coach will be hired by UL and not from other funds. That is straight from the horses mouth.

I don’t think yall understand what’s coming. There is no ā€œwhen the audit is over.ā€ We’re entering into a constant state of audit. Lol

Great, so replacing a position Coach with another already budgeted position. BTW, I said if you wanted that coach to start before the semester begins. You would have to raise the money through RCAF. I’m glad you heard it from the horse’s mouth, perhaps you could have check with the horse earlier?

The horse wasn’t talking earlier.

I’m hearing Kyle Brady from Toledo could be the guy. We will see if that is the case.

Hell of a tight end for the nittany lions back in the day
