Every year, some well-meaning family member gets me a ridiculous golf gift that has no practical use in real life. I wondered if this is happening to the population at large, but with UL stuff. For example, one of the cousins got us an oven towel with a knock off “UL Lafayette” embroidered inside of the state of Louisiana.
I used to get some dumb shit but lately I’ve provided some options of what I like, and it’s helped.
My family knows I have so many Cajuns shirts, that they don’t buy any for me anymore. The Ragin Cajuns store (Heritage Park/Barnes & Noble) surprisingly had some $10 & $25 racks last week. There were some decent items available. I bought a hoodie, some shorts, 4 shirts, & a jersey for about $100.
My mom had gotten me some UL tennis shoes 6 years ago (it had the “hot wheels” logo so don’t get too excited lol) and they were extremely uncomfortable to wear despite being the right size.
I will say there were some nice stuff at the bookstore when I went in November but there were also some questionable things
UL underwear. I shit you not lol

Tell me you are not a fan and have no clue about our athletics without saying anything.
Had may family members ask my wife what to get me through the years. Many times her answer was no “don’t get him that insert UL gift”. Then she would cover it up by saying “he is very particular with his UL gear”.

Someone got me UL socks and a hat at the height of the hot wheels logo era. Had to be the most ugly UL gear I’ve seen in all my years.

Hot wheels logo is fine as long as the rest of the apparel doesn’t have orange and makes it like it’s one of our school colors 
It’s not my favorite logo but I do have a sweatshirt i normally wear that has it along with LOUISIANA across the chest.

I got a long sleeve plaid dress shirt with a huge hot wheels logo on the left chest from my mom a few years back. It has been in my closet since. Never wore it.
If I ever get anything with UL Lafayette on it, I usually just give it away.
