Taylor had been held out due to shoulder soreness. Got an MRI and was clear. Not his best outing but that’s why he hadn’t pitched previously

Looking back at the timeline of this thread and Friday night’s scorebook, I will eat crow on Lasalle.
Pretty sure timing wise, he was 1-3 on the night at the time. Shortly after the post, he hit his 2nd double. Ended up going 2-5 on Friday & 5-14 on the weekend. I will take a .357 BA every weekend. I hope he can continue to produce because we need him. His defense is plus and his arm is pro strength.
I still stand by my comment the decision to put Brown and Rodriguez in the 8th & 9th hole. 1-6 on Friday to 6-14 for the rest of the weekend.

You know we agree on 99% of things. I also questioned Lasalle in the leadoff on Friday, but after thinking about the WHY, I understood that Deggs was just trying to get him going… and it worked!
