D1 Baseball posted their Cajuns preview

I don’t have an account to share any tidbits, but in case you’re a member - https://d1baseball.com/stories/2025-louisiana/

Interesting point Deggs made was that going freshman heavy last year was a mistake. Made it a point to get older this year. Also needed to “get the right guys in the clubhouse.”

Looks like he likes Tollett, Hermann, and Papenbrock (NAIA 5th year guy) in the rotation. With Brasch as the backend piece.

Questions with the bats with so many new pieces.

Some of the points I took note of:

Herrmann velo in upper 80s touching 90. Better than last offseason where it seemed like he lost it all. He worked around that and got a bit better.

Markle at 3B, Amedee at 1B, Hernandez 2B, Rodriguez SS noted as some contending starters. Lasalle showed good power and should be in there for an OF spot

Victorian still has 6 weeks left before he’s up to speed coming off TJ.

Some big arms in there with Garret Carter and Cody Brasch noted as upper 90s arms

Tollett’s slider/sinker have evolved this offseason

Torres is a staple but getting pushed by Colt Brown. Spalitta another option there too

I don’t see Donatto and Kyrin Leblanc on the roster. Assuming they got cut. Did they just have enough talent? Anyone have any insight?
