Battle on the Bayou

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns will face the UL Monroe Warhawks, on Saturday, November 29, 2025. This Sun Belt Conference matchup is the regular-season finale for both teams.

  • Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns: 5-6 overall, looking for a win to achieve bowl eligibility.

  • UL Monroe Warhawks: 3-8 overall, looking to end their season with a major rivalry upset.

Home Field Advantage: The game is being played in Lafayette, which could provide a boost for the Cajuns.

Recent Struggles for ULM: The Warhawks have struggled late in the season, entering the game on a multi-game losing streak.

Offensive vs. Defensive Edge:

  • Louisiana generally has a more potent offense, averaging significantly more points per game than ULM.
  • ULM’s defense has struggled, allowing over 32 points per game, which is a key factor in favor of the Cajuns’ offense.

Prediction Consensus: Given the offensive disparity and ULM’s struggles against the spread this season, experts generally favor the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns to win this game outright. The consensus is that UL’s offense should be able to move the ball effectively against the Warhawks’ defense.

Natty’s 2 cents:
Just win, baby.

Cajuns 38
Hawks 17

Cajuns then get paired with LA Tech in Shreveport, and the real fun begins.

I’d make that trip

Beating tech would make it a successful season!!! :joy::joy::joy::joy:

That is the only match-up I’m making a trip to Shreveport for. Such a miserable place and time of year for a bowl game.

I’d go to Shreveport for that matchup. But if the weather forecast is the same as it was last time we went up there my wife will probably tell me to go by myself. :joy:.

By far the coldest game I’ve ever attended. I would definitely do it again!
