I’ve developed a new component for Cajun ThREDs. This will let Patreon Supporters of Cajun ThREDs easily record and post voice questions in the Patreon Supporters Category specifically for “Ask Ragin Review”.
The User Experience
Smart Button: A microphone icon appears in the composer toolbar only when the user is in the Patreon Supporters Category.
Recording: Clicking it starts a 3-second countdown, then records audio with a live timer and pulsing visual feedback.
Instant Preview: When stopped, the popup immediately plays the audio back (using browser memory) so the user can verify it before uploading.
One-Click Posting: Clicking “Add to Post” automatically uploads the file to your server and inserts an audio player + duration timestamp (e.g., Recorded Time: 0:45) into the text.
These audio questions can be played when Ragin Review goes live and answered by the team.
