8th most wins out of all G5s in the CFP era

Being a 6-6 team is not the standard and I do like the type of message that Jay Walker sent out regarding being in the company of 7 other teams to go to 8 straight bowl games, it might have made some fans feel like we were shooting on the floor.

However, this statistic is more heartwarming for Cajun fans. In a year where we battled poor play calling along with O Line injuries we clawed to a 4 game win streak and got to bowl.

Now, UL is ranked 8th among G5 teams in win percentage in the CFP era. I know the win numbers could be better when you look at the narrow losses we’ve had in the past few years, but this is something to be proud of.

If we want to stay in the top 10 of this, we have got to stop having 6-6 seasons. That is for sure.

The S&C program needs to be evaluated, we have been decimated by injuries 3 of the 4 years, the one year we stayed relatively healthy, particularly upfront, we won 10 games.

This is a much better sell to a casual fan, especially those who are inclined to associate CFB with Baton Rouge.
