Relocating the 256 BCT HQ on Surry, by the airport to a more central location.
The article stated the facility will be located near the Hilton Garden Inn Lafayette/Cajundome and had the attached photo. I just question whether this is the best use of university property. I would think private development would have had a greater return.
So we’re gonna lease valuable real estate for dirt cheap to the NG because we desperately need cash….
Amazing how we do things at UL, at one time you had developers interested in that land, but we can’t make sensible decisions

Great idea. Horrible location. What happened to the entertainment district that was to be there? This will kill any future development that isn’t school research buildings.
Have we considered asking the guy who owned all the car junkyards on Johnston St if he would be interested in paying little to no rent to move all of his sh*t to the W Congress street frontage between Lite Center and UHC?
That could knock another five figures off our $25 million debt …
