I’m thinking about taking a drive up to Laramie to go see Wyoming play UNLV in October. It’s only 2 hours and 15 minutes from my place, so I could probably make it home at a reasonable time.
Has anyone here ever been to one of their games? I’ve been to Laramie twice but never got to see a game there. I know we were supposed to play them a few years ago, but I don’t think it ever worked out.
I went in 2011/2012 time frame. Wyo hosted the Cornhuskers in what turned out to be a pretty heated rivalry in the parking lot. The game ended up being a blowout but lots of fighting during the tailgate and in the block party on friday night. Wild time.
Dang that’s crazy hahah. I’d imagine people in Wyoming are pretty passionate about the team considering the only other football teams in the state are at the high school level. I think it could be fun, just trying to figure out if my dad wants to come with me or not lol.
