UL Athletics Department: Self-Assessment

According to the strategic plan for athletics developed by Dr. Maggard, how would you assess the state of our athletics program? Give each strategic priority an A through F rating.

I see that section 1 refers to the “Student Athlete Experience”. The hell with that!

How about prioritizing the “Dedicated Fan Experience”! By that I mean WIN GAMES!!! If you WIN GAMES the fans will have a “Good Experience” and in turn will do a better job of supporting the programs. Thus, the “Paid Athletes” should also have a better experience.

Now, with NIL, Pay for Play, and the Transfer Portal, the only thing that matters is winning. The majority of the players no longer have education and graduation as their top priority. So why should the fans?
