Lunch is not 100%. We lost two of our best defensive players and Desormeaux still sucks as a play caller.
We are actually pretty salty at WR/TE and he would rather run Lunch 15-20 times a game instead of throwing the ball. Which Lunch has proven to be a much better passer, from the pocket and outside of the pocket than I imagined.
Our defense will wear down because of the offense and LaTech understands this game way better than we do.
Considering we havenāt beaten them since Jake Delhomme was our QB, and weāre currently on an 8 game losing streak vs LA Tech with 6 of those being by more than 20 points, Iāll side with C4L and say our program/team needs to prove to me they can actually play against LA Tech before I show any confidence in a possible win.
When giving my season picks at the beginning of the year I had us losing this game based on the history and how weāve performed in Ruston. I donāt think the last 8 games means anything in the grand scheme of things but I do believe we will have a tall task. Probable? No. Impossible? Hell no. Tech is not world beaters by any means. I trust our players but am worried about depth at key positions weāve lost. I trust Salgado to put together a good game plan. It seems like all Iāve been talking about lately is needing our offense to complement our defense. Second half was much better as state didnāt stop us from scoring. Would have liked to score 3 touchdowns and a field goal instead of 3 field goals and a touchdown. That will need to change this week. This is a must win game and could be year defining. Geaux Cajuns
I also am not predicting us to win this one, but the 3 losses you mentioned were close games. Iām not sure how a 21 point loss equates to those.
Also, outside of an FCS opponent who lost to an NAIA school, Tech hasnāt put up 38 all year. Weāve definitely got some weak spots with McPherson out, but 38 would be atrocious. Given, our offense/special teams are almost guaranteed to spot them some points.
Who is making the trip? We are driving up Friday evening. Hope to get some tailgating in on Sat.
I have a feeling that we go home with a 20 point L. Tech is going to have a least 2 big special teams plays. Our offense will struggle all game. They will score late to open it up.
This game is difficult to predict. We have the talent, but playcalling has to improve to get the win. This is a critical game; we canāt afford to miss TD opportunities.
Tech fan here, the white lot is reserved parking. There is free parking in that same lot but closer to the baseball field. Thereās a two story parking garage down the street past the baseball field and free parking by the place called āLambrightā.
The green area is free tailgating. Not many people tailgate over there so if yall choose there, yall will be pretty secluded. The hill by the basketball arena is free but there are tons of tech tailgates already established there but feel free to tailgate there as well!
just wanted to pass along some info just so there are no issues and confusions! Go Dogs!
