Med School?
Yes, they are planning a Medical School, it has been in the works for a while, but they are having trouble getting all the funding to build the new school.
There will never be a med school. Pie in the sky.
I’m hoping that I can afford to reenter into UL for next fall and go for my bachelor’s degree. I haven’t been in school for 20 years so would probably have to retake all my classes.
The Fall 2025 census shows a total enrollment of 19,723 students, a 2.65% increase from last year.
Could you imagine the student section at the basketball games if even half of them showed up? because that 3200 look really good in that photo.
I’m hoping that this team can get some excitement back into the dome like it was in the late 90s / early 2000s. It was some fun basketball times.

How many of these are grant funded? (Asking this question because history tells us over 50% will drop out)
*16k degree seeking - So 3k are continuing education? I find that hard to believe. I’ve taken CE classes and they are not what I would call full.

Embarrassing that’s even a talking point on a promotion piece like that.
There is still plenty of rot infesting Martin Hall. It may take a while to rid decades of this culture.
The stench of Blanco and T Joe will be around for awhile.
I think strengthening and building up our Greek life while every other university is secretly strangling it in the name of liability would be a really forward-thinking strategy. Especially for a generation of students coming out of the shadow of the pandemic and stymied by social media/digital interactions.
Hope whoever the next president is will try to take chances like that.
