FYI for all those headed to games from Texas. Closures at the I-10 bridge over the Calcasieu River will begin tomorrow (9/4), beginning with off-ramps into Westlake. At the current time, the 210 bridge is one lane in both directions while DOTD finishes hurricane damage repairs. Plan accordingly.

Took me 5 hours from Lafayette to Beaumont last week. Can’t imagine the nightmare it will be during this construction project.
Thank you for the heads up. We went Saturday and returned Sunday with no issues, I was pretty shocked. This will be a long project if it’s to replace the bridge, which is sorely needed.
Oh, I see you say just for repairs. When will the new bridge get done, didn’t they pass funding with Fed help?
I-210 Bypass bridge is one-lane for repairs. Should be completed soon.
I-10 bridge is being fully replaced over a multi year period. Closures begin 9/4 with exit ramps. Bridge will remain open for the time being, but there may be delays.
I’m sure GPS will be your best friend and if you are redirected to Deweyville, you should probably take the suggestion.
I haven’t been over that I-10 bridge in years. About a decade ago, my company sent out a safety bulletin that anyone driving on company business was required to drive around on 210 due to the condition of the I10 bridge. Ever since then, I’ve been taking 210 on all trips!
