I’ve always been a proponent of option football. It makes even more sense now in the age of NIL.
I just say we fire the whole coaching staff, forfeit the rest of the season and let whoever wants to stay, stay and get another red-shirt season and just do strength and conditioning until the Spring Season when we have a new coaching staff and pretty much a new roster for those that stayed and transferred in.

I sadly believe so as well.
I’ve had this mindset since we were ranked 11-1 with Levi, just to get sent to the Dallas Military Bowl vs UTSA. The SBC Championship is the only realistic thing that matters.
But you know what…it was a damn good spot still be in, and we got to play against a UTSA team that was on the upswing. They killed it the following season.
As much as rematches seem to suck in non-NY bowl games, we should have been matched up with them the following season rather than Marshall for both programs at their peak to duke it out.
Watching the game yesterday afternoon again, anyone who thinks this wasn’t an effort, plan AND execution problem doesn’t know a lick of football.
I’m not sure we had more than 3 dudes who showed up to win on Saturday.

Is he trying to say that we have a team that plays well in practice but cant play well when the lights are on?
If that is this team, its obvious we have a problem. Its not uncommon to see that in a few players but the whole team. Come on man! We see players that dont practice well but play well when the lights are on. I’m seeing none of that either.

Not to mention the game was broadcasted on ABC. Some good exposure and it was a fun game. Wasn’t bad at all.
