Des is getting flat out rude instead of taking real responsibility, which makes matters worse. He is insulated by not being asked tough questions. Same as Maggard.
Then they get mad when a tough question is actually asked. Do your job, take responsibility. Des knows we canāt fire him this year, so he just reacts as a facking smart ass now.

Thatās the attitude that leads to minimal fan support and season ticket sales. If people thought ticket sales have been bad the last 2-4 years (Des tenure) it can get way worse

Iāve tried to beat that drum. The conference title is all we can control at this point. It should be the goal and everything after that is lagniappe.
SECSPN talking heads saying we need to get rid of conference championship games too. I think itās clear where all of this is headed.
G6 will only exist for the next 5 years the axe is coming down.
2030 is when all the TV Contracts are renegotiated with ESPN. That is the year we need have this financial crunch solved by and prepared for a huge change in college football.

Itās important as we approach the 2030ās to watch the evolution of the media landscape. Iād watch Netflix in particular. Netflix is slowly navigating their way into the sports world and by 2030 Iād expect they would be interested in gaining college sports media rights. Amazon could also be in the hunt as well. ESPN will continue to focus on the P4 conferences they pay the most money for and the G6 will get scraps. In the streaming world we live in, conferences will need to get creative in negotiating media deals and look at options outside of ESPN/Disney.
Donāt forget about Apple TV
Alway great to have other options than the monopoly that ESPN has created with CFB. ESPN is getting great SBC contents for chump change until 2030 with the SBC. SBC can use the ever evolving media climate to their advantage when negotiating with ESPN. Hell I already have NETFLIX. I would be happy to drop my ESPN Plus subscription if I have to if all Cajun games ended up on Netflix or Amazon which I also have.
Like who does not have Netflix and/or Amazon Prime in 2025?
