First Serve Social was Friday and I actually learned some things during the coaches presentations. Food was good and the beer was ice cold!
Now the important thing, #Operation10K is the goal for fans again this season. We need to Pack Long with 10,000 fans. Last year the total was just over 9,500 for the year so it’s an easy goal to reach! Other goal is 1,000 fans for a match. Last season’s largest attendance was 989 for App State.
First week of September is your first chance to show up.

I love this! Just like the team has goals to win a conference championship, fans need to have attendance goals! We should do this for volleyball and all sports. Geaux Cajuns! 
we need to have one or two matches at the Cajundome, maybe have a Professional match inside the Dome also. I think if we can get a couple of SEC schools to come and play us over a weekend then I think we can get over 2000 in the Dome.
No need to play in the Cajundome, that would kill the whole vibe & not be nearly as exciting as a match in Long. We actually have Mississippi State coming to Long on 9/17. While some programs share with basketball, many have their own arenas that hold smaller & louder crowds. Texas for example plays in their historic gym with a capacity of 4,000. Nebraska is just another animal when it comes to volleyball, the play Florida (17) next Thursday inside AT&T Stadium. They also play Texas (2) on 8/30 and that match can be watched on FOX.

This attendance goal comes straight from Coach. She’s always said she wants 1,000 for a match & regularly brings it up with the media. After getting close last year, now she’s pushing for the 10K!
