The Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement with right guard O’Cyrus Torrence on a four-year, $78.4 million extension that includes $46 million guaranteed. So O’Cyrus, how about making a donation to the school that initially gave you an opportunity. It would be a nice gesture to pay back the university that invested in you and got you noticed by NFL teams.

Des played an integral part in getting all those guys to campus under hud and Napier. If you listen to anyone who has played with and/or for Des they all say they would fight to the death for him. If that is the case then why is the football program so broke? Why did someone like cam pedescleaux go to Tulane over 3 grand? Why do none of these multimillion dollar ball players donate back to their former coach and program? Something isn’t right.

Kevin Dotson is just behind Hunt and Torrence at $16 mil per year. When he signed his contract he was in top 5 or so of NFL guards but the market has shot up since

Who is the person that should ask is probably the problem, I think it should be the AD that does it, but can the HC do it?
Or, I have an idea.
Rather than being a certain type of political party and asking for his hard money with our hands out, what about we routinely invite him to be a presence at events (in off seasons of course) and cultivate a culture with he and other professional athlete alumns, draw attention to him being involved considering his stature. And then, we have fans interested in being around him and others at events, he grows closer to the program long term and is then likely to be more interested in investing big time in the program - along with his other professional buddies.

During Miami’s best years there was a lot said about players coming back and being visible around the program. Having a bunch of players born and raised in South Florida helped because in the offseason those guys would be seen in the Miami weight room getting their work in.
Having notable alumni in the nfl coming back and being around the program is always going to be a plus.
