Since Haley Blitch has gone to TCU her talents will be missed

With that being said I hope the hype video this season is better than the past few.

last years with Dustin :gem_stone: talking was pretty cool so hopefully this years will meet or exceed that one

Iā€™d like to see rock music and highlights on the hype video. I donā€™t need to hear a player read off some cue cards to try and pump me up.

An effective hype video creates an intense feeling that last throughout the game. I would like to hear from Coach Des telling us to get loud, protect Cajun Field, and will this team to victory.

Iā€™m with you. Voice overs on hype videos are terrible.

Based on his speech at Fan Day, I probably wouldnā€™t lean on Des in a hype scenario

If it were me:

splice together hard-cuts going back and forth between the drum line and the team pumping each other up (pregame, after turnovers, etc).

Each drum beat in the beginning, pulse the lights. At 0:12 hit the fireworks and have the team run out the tunnel, but still dont have the lights at full blast.

At 0:40 light up the student section (if possible) and try to get them to take the bait on doing the same chant they do in the song

Imagine.

The team is lined up in the tunnel, ready to go. The INTRO to ā€˜Joker and the Thiefā€™ starts. A hype video plays on the screen, showing hard hits, long bombs, and big winsā€¦

Here comes the drop. Que the smoke. Rip the banner. Everyone is jacked. Cajuns win by 90.

From what Iā€™ve been told, theyā€™re farming it out to freelancers for now. But the freelancer is very familiar to UL fans.
