Same sentiment here. Get out of San Marcos with a win. 2-2 on the week with a win against the Big 12. I fear a sweep could begin a spiral. Must be avoided at all costs. ---

Our pitching and defense along with a couple of lucky 2 out hits has masked this garbage offense until this weekend. Deggs is supposed to be a hitting a coach but once again his offense so far this season is absolute shit. ---

When looking at the bigger picture, I’m willing to chalk this one up as not our weekend for pitching and defense. As a whole, I’m still confident in this pitching staff and I think it will actually improve once our injured guys come back. But the offense is a whole different story and it is very much time to panic. We can’t even hit in a hitter’s ballpark. Not hitting for power is one thing. Not hitting at all is a problem. How many times do we get a runner on only to hit yet another weak ground ball for a double play? Or waste baserunners because we can’t get the ball out of the infield? SELA and ULM this week. Anything other than 4-0 is a failure. Yes I know ULM is better this year, but ULM at home needs to be a sweep.
