Offense was better in 2nd half. Defense is solid and that Gordon guy, wow, what a player.
Defense. What can you say? Just fun to watch. Charlotte is a very bad football team though. Their coach looked defeated in the first quarter.
O Line. Where yat? 3 sacks and double digit TFL.
I don’t know if the offense was better in the 2nd half, as much as Charlotte’s defense was completely gassed because our defense kept their offense off the field.
I like what I see out of our defense so far, though we’re still not going to know how good they really are until the next few weeks play out. Charlotte is a very bad football team. UAB may not be horrible. They did beat Navy.
My main concern is even if our defense really is as good as they’re looking, they’re going to have an off game or two. Can our offense score more than 28 vs. competent SBC competition?
Lunch averaged 5.73 yards per pass attempt last night, and 5.78 yards per pass attempt last week against UAB. Whether that’s on him, the receivers, the playcalling, or a combination of all three…that ain’t gonna cut it for the stretch of the season.
I think it’s the play calling. They went vertical, what, 1 time? Maybe 2?
Looked like everything was 4-8 yards and hoping a receiver breaks a tackle.
We know Lunch can throw. O line is not really giving him any time to drop back. He has 2 seconds and either has to check down or run it.
