Just a little reminder here. In his first road start as a Fr. QB, Jake lost to a bad MAC school too.
Not saying DB is another Jake, but I would cut the guy some slack for a little while.
From the penalties, to the times of poor effort, to the questionable game management, we’ve got plenty of bigger fish to fry.

Agreed.. starts with coaching, recruiting and lack of discipline…. Napier had bed time hours and such. Dez did away with restrictions and here we are.

Beale would not have gotten much if any playing time without injuries. There’s a reason for that. He’s not ready. Could he be? Sure. But he’s not there now.
Neither is Lunch. Got a delay of game coming off of a kickoff. And then looked like he tried to speed up the snap to avoid another delay but causing a false start.
Now some of our QB issues are self inflicted. Coaches putting these guys in positions where they won’t have success. Rolling in Lunch on every 3rd series to throw a change to for an offense that can’t get things right outside of scripted drives. Are we really doing this 2 QB thing AGAIN? Pick 1!
Like yesterday. With the running game we have, why the hell are you forcing the pass? No way that kid should be throwing that many times with the yards per carry we were averaging.

Because Dez is a mastermind, throwing style coach (haha yeah whatever). As a previous QB, he WANTS to throw at least 2 of every 4 downs.
